School’s Out! Summer Fun is In!

Thanks for your interest in the National Summer Learning Association’s 2017 Art and Essay Contest! We're so excited to see your artwork or essay on the theme: Smarter Summers Equal Brighter Futures.

In order for us to give your submission the best possible chance at a prize, please follow these guidelines:

Each entry must show understanding of the theme–Smarter Summers Equal Brighter Futures–and capture why it’s important to keep learning and stay active during the summer months.

All entries must be your own! Each submission is expected to be an individual effort. Essays will be monitored for plagiarism. All art should be handmade (no digital art, please!) and then electronically submitted using a scanner or camera.

Every applicant can submit only one entry. An entry consists of either a work of art or an essay.

By entering this contest, an applicant gives NSLA the right to use their submission in its promotional materials and events. If applicant is under 18, parent/guardian permission is required.

The 1st prize winner will receive a $200 cash prize and will be featured on NSLA’s website and in promotional materials for National Summer Learning Day 2018.
